Who We Are

Prison Song Ministry is a part of South Park Church's Prison Ministry.

A group from our church, in affiliation with the American Baptist Churches of Metro Chicago, participates in a Christian Testimony Service on Friday nights in Cook County Jail, Chicago. During this service the inmates give testimonies of what God is doing in their lives while incarcerated. They pray, share, witness and make a joyful noise.

Volunteers share the gospel message and their testimonies, as well as sing songs of praise and worship, all in an effort to obey God and to guide the inmates in finding the straight and narrow path that God would have them walk.

Prison Song Ministry is a blog site to share with the outside world some of what God is doing behind prison walls, and to ask them to pray for and help fund this ministry. It is also a place where family members and friends can receive inspiration and find links to information that may be of use to them.
